Allen Roberts and I climbed Half Dome on May 21st. Starting from Curry Village at 5:15am, we topped out at 9:15. The early start allowed us to have the cables and the top largely to ourselves. Descending, we passed 50+ people still on their way up. The weather was gorgeous- clear with little wind. The latter is a definite plus when standing on the Diving Board, 4500 feet above the valley floor. There was no snow to be found anywhere on the route.
