Stanford Sierra Camp

We spent June 14-21 at Stanford Sierra Camp. Since Kade is 3 and potty trained, we’ve graduated from the Microbopper Week (newborn to 6 years old) to a regular camp week. The demographics are quite different; some of the guests have been coming up for thirty years or more, and most families are past the Sesame Street age.

Kade hasn’t started preschool yet- this was his first time in a group environment. He struggled a bit the first day, but by the end of the week hardly noticed when we weren’t with him. Sierra bonded with a couple of 5 year olds from San Francisco (Roxanne and Eliza) and was seldom to be seen during the day. A successful week all in all, but a little cramped with all four of us in a single room.
