The first gallery is a random collection of pictures from the early spring. We took the kids skiing twice (though Kade didn’t get out much), went with Terra to the beach, had a gymnastics birthday party, ate fondue, went to the Exploratorium, and rode our bikes. Sierra also had a dance recital.
The Stanford Triathalon team sponsors a children’s event, which includes bicycling and running but not swimming. Sierra and Kade entered in different age classes – her bike ride was over a mile, his considerably less. Both running courses were less than a mile, but for little kids it was quite the challenge. Kade got run over by a type A parent near the start line, but finished in good time. Sierra ran the entire way.
Don’s camera shopping problem got a bit worse this spring as well – he bought a 25mm f/1.7 lens for the Olympus micro four thirds body (a good smallish camera for indoor shots), and the new 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II from Canon, which cost considerably more than his first car (not that that’s saying much). The fondue pictures of Sierra and Laura were taken with the former, and the beach pictures of Kade and Terra with the latter.
