We took our annual trip to Stanford Sierra camp on Fallen Leaf Lake, near Lake Tahoe, CA. It has been an unusually cool, wet, and late spring, and the snow levels there reflected it- Don found some of the upper lakes still frozen even on the Summer Solstice. Swimming was also a little problematical given the water temperatures.
Kade and Sierra settled right in – they’ve been going enough years now that they know some of the other kids, and have no worries about spending the full day at the kids groups. We took bicycles up this year as well, pedaling out to the main lake occasionally to relax (and get cell phone coverage).
