We went to Yosemite over the first weekend in April with our friends the Gulsens. This was a do-over for a planned trip last October that was cancelled due to the government shutdown. We held our breath this time, but the weather and Congress both cooperated.
This was a separate custody trip, with men and dogs sleeping in a tent, women staying at the Ahwahnee, and children shuttling in-between. We all met at the hotel in the mornings for showers and breakfast and in the evening for a campfire.
The waterfalls looked great due to rain the week before; with the snowpack at 30% this is likely as good as it will get.
